Auto stop override

My truck got some heavy duty tasks with frequent off-roading and regular towing. I want to get rid of the auto stop so I'm thinking of getting an override module I can easily plug and play. I got a 2025 GMC Sierra AT4. Any thoughts and recommendations?

My neighbour is looking into this for the past several weeks. So far he found Autostop Eliminator or 4D Tech Auto Start Stop Eliminator, both of which work with the 2025 model. He hasn't got one yet, so I can't confirm how and if they work

Try Autostop Elimiator AE039, specific model just to add to @Frequentflier11 because we got the same thoughts. I think it's around 100 dollars? Emissions compliant too so you don't worry about that being a problem.

In all you do, make sure the module is specifically compatible because GM's systems can be picky. Others already mentioned the perfect brands, also check local regulations if that's a concern that messing with auto stop can impact your fuel economy and emissions systems

Nice thinking about that override. The stop/start feature can be really annoying, especially when you're towing or off-roading. Yeah, check out either the Autostop Eliminator or the SmartStopStart module. Both are plug-and-play, no codes, and remember your setting.

Do you want to hide the button behind the dash or plug it into the OBD port?

Well for me, I use the Autostop Eliminator. It's nice so far, so good. No lights or codes popping up just yet. But when you order, do order the right one for your trim and year.

I've also been running the AutoStop Eliminator on my 2024. It took about 15 minutes to install, and it just remembers the last setting you had for the button. No more hitting the dash every time I start it up. A buddy went with the Range Technology module that plugs into the OBD-II port. We compared and he said it was even easier to install. But I preferred the Eliminator since it doesn't mess with the OBD port and keeps it free for other stuff. Either way, definitely worth the money!
