I'm looking to add amber-colored lights to the front grill or hood scoop of my 2025 GMC Sierra 3500 AT4X. Any leads where I can find good ones on a pre-packaged kit? I'd appreciate if your recommendations are based from experience.
I added amber lights to my Sierra and looked into a few kits that should fit your 3500 AT4X, best move is to go with one made for the GM grille, the better ones have waterproof housings and solid LEDs, dont get those cheap amazon stuff
I've installed a few of these before. AutoLEDTech makes a great grille light kit for the new Sierra HD. It's easy to install, has amber daytime running lights, and fits nicely. Putco's stuff is good too if you want more pattern choices. Are you going for a daytime running light look or a pre-runner style?
Dig into how the kit gets power before you buy anything. The best ones come with a plug-and-play harness that uses an add-a-fuse. That way, you're not cutting into the factory wiring on your new rig.
Check out the kit from AutoLEDTech, fits clean and plugs right in without hacking up your wires. I've used it on two builds and it held up great through rain and dust.
@C_Dale_84 I might add some more recos to the list. you need to check out Baja Designs or Diode Dynamics. They might not have a single 'kit' for exactly what you're asking, but their amber light bars and cube lights are top tier.
I've seen some AT4X owners mount their lights behind the grille with a custom bracket and wire them up with a switch.
The quality is unmatched, and you can get different beam patterns for whatever you're looking for, from a subtle DRL to a full on light bar
